The storm chases me,
Ripping the blanket of night from me.
It holds me down to drink the rain;
To feed its thunder and feel its pain.
Wait for the dawn to wake me;
For the light to cleanse me;
For reality to wash it all away.
Or is it the dream I wake up to?
A short break from the insanity,
Only to return to the darkness of time?
