The brain is awesome ~ in the truest sense of that word.

The Sound of Night

If only the night was this calming;
The sky, this serene;
The darkness, this inviting.

This melody intoxicates me.
It gives me hope ~
And a sense of peace and tranquility.
I want to buy a one-way ticket here ~
To this place where sweet dreams come to visit and linger on your breath until morning light;
A place where shadows sleep and darkness is nothing more than a warm blanket.
A place without shapes...
without blood...
without horror.

Hum to me this lullaby.
Sing to me a new song.
Let your voice carry on the wind...and find me in sweet, sweet slumber.
