Someone falls as they're being chased through the woods; a woman goes outside, without pants or shoes, to investigate that noise; someone always insists on hunting for some horror down a dark hallway, alley or abandoned slaughterhouse. These are just a few examples of cliche horror movie faux pas.
Along with this predictable action comes some haunting dialogue. I found this list of

Check it out. And if you have to investigate ~ never, ever use those one-liners.
